Silver Creek Campground will have their Grand Opening Weekend, June 5th-7th. Friday, around 5 PM, D.J. Tim Worthy will be playing swamp pop music under the Pavilion. Saturday morning at 7 AM until close, the Vendor’s Market will have lots of items to buy, such as crafts, jewelry, baked goods, smoked turkey meat, skin care products, jams/jellies, and more. The public is welcome to attend the Vendor Market free of charge! The official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is at 10:30 AM, and everyone is welcome to attend!
The Dean King Band will be performing all of their greatest hits from 7-9 PM. The cost is only $10 per person, unless you are a camping guest. For Saturday, June 6th, pay $10 per person includes All Day access plus the Dean King Band. Kids under 5 years old get in Free! They will also have a bouncy slide with water for the kids!

Attention MHS graduates and former teachers of the Class of 1990, 1991, and 1992,…you all are invited to a class reunion Saturday, June 27th, from 4-8 PM, at Bogue Chitto State Park Event Center. Mt. Hermon Baptist Church will have their Vacation Bible School July 6th-10th at 5:30 in the evenings. Registration is open on the Mount Hermon Baptist Church Facebook page. Children ages 3-14 are welcome to join for a “Magnified” VBS, discovering the bigness of God in the smallest of things!
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church recently recognized the graduates. Aspen Elaine Hughes graduated from Kindergarten at Bowling Green. She is the daughter of Cody and Pattyce Hughes. Kaleb Anthony received his high school diploma from Springfield Preparatory. He is the son of David and Tiffany Anthony. Sarah Sanders, mother of Peytan, Hannah, and Jordyn, completed the HiSET program through Northshore Technical Community College. Also graduating from NTCC was Austin Boyd, son of Todd and Mandi Boyd. Austin received his electrician certificate and an Associate degree of Applied Science, cum laude, in Technical Studies.
We are very proud of each one of them. They each received a gift and a special prayer of blessings.
