Mt. Hermon School is kicking off the new school year with a Back to School Dance this Friday, from 6-9 PM, in the gym, for 6th-12th graders. The cost is $7.00. Be sure to wear your brightest neon colors to glow!
Silver Creek Campground’s Line Dancing Competition is this Saturday, August 29th, 7-9 PM, and gates open at 5 PM. Admission is $10 per person, and open to the public. All ladies are welcome to compete solo or in a group. 1st place winner will receive $100 cash, and 2nd place will receive $50 cash. There will be a special performance from the Bowling Green Buccanettes (dance team). Corey Davis will be singing all of your favorite line dancing songs. So ladies, grab your boots, besties, and cowboy hats for a night of music, moves, and a boot-stompin good time!
The Mt. Hermon Ruritan Club is having a Boiled Shrimp Plate Fundraiser! Plates include 1 lb. of shrimp, 2 potatoes, and 1 corn on cob for only $12. Plates will be ready for pick-up at the clubhouse on Friday, Sept. 11th, from 11:30-1:00 PM. Orders must be placed by noon on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd. Sunny Hill Baptist Church will have Dinner on the Ground this Sunday, after their morning service. Sunday School starts at 9 AM, followed by the morning service at 10 AM.
The Young at Hearts of Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church will meet this Friday at 11:30, in the fellowship hall of the church. All who are fifty years of age or older are welcome to join them for a wonderful time of food and fellowship!
Sunday night at Hope Alive, Bro. Norman, who preached two weeks ago, will give his testimony. It will also be chip night! Hope Alive is a 12 step, Christian based, court approved recovery program. Meeting starts at 7 PM, or come early at 6 PM for food and getting to know people.
