Hello once again to all my friends and neighbors who look forward to reading my column each week. We've been having some really windy days. When I'm out in it- my hair is a mess. It looks like a frizzy chicken or like the hair of Phyllis Diller. Ha! Ha! I went to school most of last week. Our weather keeps changing but hopefully soon it will settle down. According to the calendar the first day of spring was March 20th.
We have been blessed once more, when the bad weather took its toll on other places. The winds got up to 170 miles per hour. Please pray for all the families who were affected in Kentwood, Tylertown, Darbun, and Alabama. Bryan showed me some videos on his phone of places where the tornadoes hit. It looked devastating. My heart goes out to them.
Don't forget: Go by the D.A. Varnado Store Museum to see the art entered by our students. You need to vote for the one you like for people's choice. We have several who entered art from MHS.
Seven ladies were in attendance for our March WMU meeting at the church. I named the missionaries with birthdays. Several people from our community were named in need of healing. Frances Schilling voiced the prayer for all the needs and for our missionaries. Attending were Janice Schilling, Frances Schilling, Sue Alford, Martha Miller, Valerie Goings, Sheila Smith and me. We made up three Sunshine Baskets. We talked about the association meeting we will host in May. Before returning home Sheila visited with Pam Stafford, Valeria visited with Carolyn Lebo, and I went to visit with Faye Wilkes. We have changed our meeting time to 1 pm on the first Monday of the month.
