Greetings to all my faithful readers. It is truly a pleasure to chat with you all once again. For the past couple of weeks things around here have been very busy. I've been at school several times, getting things ready for our "Fiesta" held at church on Saturday, May 3rd, cooking for different meals. I've also got back in the groove cutting grass, not to mention picking limbs. Every time we have rain and strong winds. I guess that's because I have lots of trees in my yard.
Happy belated Mother's Day to all of you! Hopefully you had a blessed day and were remembered by your children. A mother is one whom you can depend on. She takes care of your every need as a baby, child and even as an adult. Many times, her heart is hurt or broken by her children, but her love continues. She is one you can count on. Hopefully you will remember your precious mother on Mother's Day. You can never repay her for what she has done for you.
Congratulations to all our graduates. We had our graduation exercise on Saturday morning, May 10. MHS had twenty-five students to graduate. For the past week or so schools in our area have had graduation exercises, parties and celebrations. All our graduating seniors are to be commended for a job well done. They have completed a milestone in their life. Some will be seeking a job, while others will be pursuing further education. Young people, whatever you choose for you, I wish you the very best. What you do mainly depends on you and your efforts. One thing I do know is, if you put the Lord first in your life, everything else will properly fall into place. He will guide you every step of the way. The hard work will make it worth it all. Make the best of it with good choices.
We only have six more days left of school, and we will be out for summer vacation. The students and teachers need some time off. No more homework and no testing for a while.
Happy May birthday to the following special ones, Shunna Williams, Kathrine Quin, Alison Pratt, Chloe Rayburn, Ashley Magee, Taylor Blanchard, Tiffany Blades, Dia Monique Magee, Destiny Lewis, Summer Manzella, Allison Hodges, Paige Hunt, Angela Creel, Blake Walker, Eric Raybourn, Brandon Wilkerson, Tyler Oatis, Johnathan Clark, Joshua Clark, Malik Dyson, Albert Cecchi, Travis Tynes, Ryan Hunter Holmes, Adrien Raybour, Cayman Wilson, Matthew Rogers, Brandon Ladnes, Mark Herring, Wendell Vince, and Wendi Vince Fortenberry.
Last Wednesday, I met my granddaughter, Breanna, in Tylertown and we enjoyed lunch at Mae's restaurant. That afternoon I attended the funeral service of my friend Liz Tynes Freeman. My prayer is that the Lord will comfort the hearts of her family.
In closing- Take care of yourself and your family. SMILE! It looks good on you. Prayerfully your weekly correspondent. Love Nell.
