Hello all! Happy Wednesday to you! Can you believe it's October and the fair is just around the corner. Only fourteen days until our fair begins. Hopefully you are making plans to enter your exhibits. We're always looking forward to having a good display in the homemakers building. Ms. Jackie will be happy to see you with your entries on Sunday afternoon, Monday and Tuesday.
This year's Fall Food Roundup for the Louisiana Baptist Children was a great success. We collected several boxes and bags of canned foods, paper products, cleaning supplies, plus other needed items. I carried the collection to Clifton Baptist Church for pick-up on Monday in our area. Thanks to our church family for being so generous. Your help was greatly appreciated.
Well, I thought I would make us a special treat. I had it in a dish ready for the refrigerator, trying to get it to set level. All of a sudden it slipped, and lime jello and nuts went everywhere. You talk about a mess, I had it. Before I had it cleaned up I had to take a break. Then I went to get the mop to finish up and the mop handle broke. By the way it took longer to clean up the mess than it took to make the Lime Congeal Salad.
This time I got in the recliner to calm down. Sometimes we have a hard time trying to do things. This all happened about 10 pm. I just got in the recliner, went to sleep and about midnight went to bed. Thank you for letting me vent. Don't get me wrong, I've had lots of mishaps, but this was a doozy.
Our Women's Mission and Ministry outing will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Saturday, October 4th, 11 am - 1 pm. Hope to see you there.

My weekend was busy as usual. We picked up our chicken dinners at Mt. Hermon Pentecostal Church. They were good as usual. Bryan and I attended the wedding of our friends Matt and Jesse on Saturday held at Jay and Laura Schneider's at 4 pm. They looked so happy together. Everything was really nice. It was nice getting to meet their family. Congratulations the newly weds, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Murphy.
I visited my sister Lorell after church. She also had others visiting. Three of her friends from the coast came. It was good to see them. Her daughters Sheila and Sharon were also there. Lots of chit chat was going on.
I'm really looking forward to our family reunion to be held at my church, Mt. Pisgah, on Sunday, October 5th. We will have lunch around 1 pm in the church fellowship hall. I look forward to seeing all of you.
Continue to pray for my sister Lorell Morris, Mrs. Janice Schilling, and others you know about. Also pray for my friend Marguerite Lapani who is in the hospital and doing better. We do know that prayer is the "key" to all things.
I'll visit with you next week. Same time - Same station. Keep on Smiling. Prayerfully Nell.
