Winter Greetings!
Over the past week or so we have had some really cold weather with temperatures in the teens at night. Let your water run so you won't have frozen pipes. Thank the Lord that beautiful sunshine came some days and warmed us up a bit. I heard that Mississippi had snow, you can never tell we may even get some snow before it's over.
Matter of fact last year on Wednesday January 21st we got snow. Bryan drove me and Frances around in the community to see the snow. Mike Miller's grandchildren built a big snow man in their yard, It reminded us of Mike barbequing.
Jackie and I recently went to see Jacob (our song bird) at Lpaso Grill in Hammond. As usual we enjoyed his singing. Ms. Melissa, his mom, was happy to see us. We enjoyed our meal and met some new friends. Jacob comes to Hammond about every three months or so. If you enjoy Elvis music, come to see him perform.
Ladies don't forget! The Quilt Seminar is Saturday, February 7th at the D.A.Varnado Store Museum Annex beginning at 10a.m. til 2p.m. There will be demonstrations on quilting and sewing techniques. The cost is $12 for members and $15 for non members. Come enjoy a delicious meal and fellowship. There will be door prizes. While you're there go see all the new and old quilts on display in the museum. Also, on display are other quilted items of interest. Hope to see you there.
Kallie Kay Cefalu will be one year old on February 12th. Happy birthday Kallie, she is the daughter of Keven and Breanna Cefalu.

Due to the extremely cold weather Washington Parish Schools were out Monday and Tuesday, January 26th and 27th. The students were happy to stay home and sleep late.
Today is my son Ken's (Tator Heads) birthday. I sure do miss having him around. Happy Heavenly birthday to you. I love you.
Get well wishes go out to those who are sick, and also to Jennifer Bankston Dillon, Evelyn Burch, and Chris Burch. Pray for all the needs in our community and surrounding area.
