Hello to all of my faithful readers. I know what most of you have been doing. Staying inside, watching it snow and enjoying seeing the kids playing in it. Tuesday morning this white fluffy stuff, called snow fell. Before long the snow was everywhere. It was absolutely a beautiful sight to see. I know some of you don't enjoy the snow, while others are excited about it. Tuesday's midafternoon I just had to get out, so I got in the car and drove to the mailbox and back.
In the past when it snowed, I always went to Frances where we made a small snow man and threw snowballs at each other. Since I couldn't get out by myself. I called Bryan to see if he would drive me and Frances to the Dollar Store. As we drove around, we saw snowmen, and even an ice sculpture. We were grateful to Bryan, who made our Wednesday afternoon special. Before returning home we had coffee, and homemade oatmeal cookies at Frances.

Due to the cold, Frances and I were the only ones at January WMU meeting. We fixed two sunshine baskets. We had refreshments at her house. We had prayer for the missionaries and our local folks.
Jennifer Bankston and I wished my son William Allen "Bill" Alford a heavenly happy birthday on Sunday, January 19th. We sure do miss him. We love you, my son.
Please pray for the sick, shut-ins, lonely and the bereaved. Pick up the phone and give them a call to let them know you care. It's the little things that matter.
Thought for the week! Make this a priority for the new year "Exercise daily- Walk with the Lord."
