Hello to all my faithful readers. Hope you all had a blessed and safe Easter weekend. Lots of activities were going on. This is a special time for families to get together for cook-outs, out to eat at their favorite restaurant and visiting out of town with relatives. This past Sunday was Easter, a special time to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.
My weekend was full and was a great one. On Friday afternoon I was invited by my sister Jackie to go to the wedding uniting Brianna Creel and Bobby Berthalot, held at the country club. The reception was held inside. Everything was nice. I saw several whom I’ve not seen lately. By the way the groom was Kimber Brumfield’s dad.
On Saturday afternoon we attended a birthday celebration honoring Calvin Tate and his mother Ms. Mary. We enjoyed visiting and eating good food.
Sunday, Bryan and I were invited to go to church with my granddaughter Breanna and family at New Bethel in Jayees, MS. She prepared a good lunch at her house. Later Alaya and Kalem had fun dying eggs. Spending the day with them was special.
Washington Parish Schools were out for Spring Break that began on Good Friday. Monday, April 13th students, teachers, and workers report back to school. Only about six more weeks of school and they will be out for the summer. Everyone is looking forward to being out.
Our church was scheduled to have a sunrise service outside, but was held inside. Breakfast was enjoyed in the church fellowship hall. There was no evening service.
On Sunday, March 29th the church family enjoyed a delicious meal following the morning service. Everyone helped prepare the meal.
