NATIONAL SUMMARY
Heavy thunderstorms tomorrow will tap into ample moisture
over the region and lead to a risk for flooding across
Florida and up the Southeast coast. A potent cold front
dipping down into the North Central states will trigger
severe thunderstorms across Minnesota and Wisconsin. The
main hazards associated with these storms will be damaging
winds, flooding downpours and even isolated tornadoes.
Monsoonal thunderstorms will erupt across the Southwest,
leading to a localized flash flood threat. Parts of northern
New England will be wet as well with periods of showers. The
Pacific Northwest will continue to be gripped by dangerous
heat. Portland, Oregon, will approach triple digits, while
Sacramento, California, is expected to surpass 100 degrees
Fahrenheit. The Central states will remain mostly dry.
