NATIONAL SUMMARY
A major storm will continue to affect a wide swath of the
nation tomorrow. Severe thunderstorms including torrential
downpours, large hail, damaging wind gusts and even isolated
tornadoes are expected to rumble through Mississippi,
Alabama, Tennessee and northwestern Georgia. Strong
thunderstorms could extend as far north as southern
Kentucky, where flash flooding and damaging winds will be
the main risks. Rain may be heavy enough to cause flooding
in cental and southern Indiana, northern Kentucky and much
of Ohio. Farther north, snow is expected to create
treacherous travel from central Oklahoma, northeastward to
northern and central Michigan. Rain combined with snowmelt
could also cause flooding problems in upstate New York,
northern and central Vermont and northern New Hampshire.
