The Nation's Weather for Thursday, October 19, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An intensifying storm will carry a cold front eastward
through the day tomorrow, with showers and breezy conditions
stretching from Minnesota across the Great Lakes region and
as far south as Mississippi. Afternoon thunderstorms may
occur along portions of the southern end of the front,
including central Tennessee and Kentucky. Otherwise, the
eastern half of the nation will generally benefit from high
pressure remaining in place, with dry conditions for most
outside of some showers along the Atlantic coast of Florida.
Elsewhere, a second, larger zone of high pressure will
ensure a dry day with a good deal of sunshine for many
across nearly all of the West. The best chance for an
exception will be far northwestern Washington, where more
clouds and some showers are possible.
