The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 14, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Strong high pressure will continue to provide dry weather
for many areas of the northern and eastern United States
tomorrow. However, a potent storm will continue to move
across the interior part of the Southwest, bringing an area
of snow from southern Colorado and northern New Mexico into
the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. Farther south and east
from western and central Texas through central Kansas, areas
of rain will ease drought conditions, and a couple of
locally gusty thunderstorms can erupt. A storm from the
Pacific will bring some widely separated showers and drizzle
from western Washington and Oregon into northwestern
Montana. Meanwhile, clouds, rain and thunderstorms are in
store for the South Florida Peninsula. Some storms can bring
heavy rain along the southeastern coast.
