The Nation's Weather for Sunday, January 14, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Behind our latest storm, lake-effect snow will develop
around all of the Great Lakes tomorrow. The heaviest snow is
expected to fall across the usual areas in western New York,
including near the Buffalo area. At the same time, areas
from Pennsylvania into New England will have snow showers
and even a few snow squalls cross the region through the
day. Some heavier snow showers and squalls can cause
visibility to quickly lessen. Another storm will begin to
develop in the southern Plains, bringing snow from Colorado
into Missouri. Bitter cold will continue to descend
southward, bringing the lowest temperatures of the season so
far into the South Central region. Conditions will begin to
calm in the West, with any leftover precipitation in higher
elevations coming to an end in the afternoon.
