NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and high-elevation snow will continue across much of
the Southwest as a storm travels eastward across the region
tomorrow. Rain will be heavy at times in Southern
California, especially during the morning. The heavy rain
can lead to the risk of flooding on streets as well as slow
travel. Farther north, showers will spread across the
Northwest. Meanwhile, another storm will drop southward into
the Northeast, bringing snow showers from upstate New York
to Maine. Rain and snow showers will continue spreading
farther south into southern New England and Pennsylvania at
night. Dry and mild weather will continue elsewhere as a
strong area of high pressure remains over the center of the
nation. Temperatures will continue to trend well above the
historical average for Feb. 1.
