The Nation's Weather for Monday, April 15, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A powerful storm will shift into the Plains tomorrow,
bringing a risk for tornadoes, hail, damaging winds and
flash flooding. This risk can materialize late in the day,
but more likely overnight. A few of these thunderstorms
will pop up across the Midwest as well. There can be a few
passing showers across the Northeast, but many locations
will remain dry throughout the day. Across the Southeast,
high pressure will be in place, resulting in dry conditions
with a good deal of sunshine. Areas across the southern
Plains that miss out on thunderstorms will have to contend
with very gusty winds and an elevated risk for wildfires.
Scattered rain and mountain snow showers will pass through
the central Rockies and the states along the West Coast
will largely experience dry conditions.
