NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm lingering over New England will continue to bring
showers to portions of the region tomorrow. Thunderstorms
will occur in Florida as well as along the Gulf coast in
Texas. With the exception of a spotty shower or two in Iowa,
much of the East will remain dry with temperatures as much
as 10 degrees Fahrenheit below historical averages. Farther
west, another storm will begin to approach the Northwest
that will bring showers to portions of western Washington.
Afternoon thunderstorms will pop up across much of the
Rockies. Some thunderstorms may become severe from eastern
Montana to northeastern Colorado, and will be capable of
producing locally damaging wind gusts, hail and flooding
downpours. High pressure will continue to promote extreme
heat across Texas and New Mexico.
