NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms with localized damaging wind gusts will rumble
from eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota
southwestward to northeastern Colorado tomorrow. Gusty winds
and excessively dry weather will continue to result in a
high fire threat across the Great Basin. Showers will return
to western parts of Washington and Oregon with spotty
showers as far south as northwestern California. A storm in
the upper part of the atmosphere will cause a few
thundershowers in northern Maine, with showers in central
and southern Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. Spotty
thunderstorms are expected along the Gulf coast, with more
numerous thunderstorms in the Florida Peninsula. Dangerous,
record-challenging heat will continue to bake western and
central Texas and western Oklahoma.
