NATIONAL SUMMARY
Afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the Great Lakes
region can bring localized damaging wind gusts, hail and
flash flooding tomorrow. There can be spotty afternoon
thunderstorms from Minnesota to New Mexico. Very hot and
primarily dry weather will continue across the Mississippi
and Ohio valleys and the mid-Atlantic. It will be humid
along the Southeast and Gulf coasts, there can be spotty
afternoon thunderstorms. Meanwhile, hot weather returns to
the West where it will be primarily dry with abundant
sunshine. To the north, it will be cool and breezy with
occasional showers across the Pacific Northwest. In the
interior Northwest it will be turning warmer with a steady
breeze and an afternoon thundershower in the high terrain.
Elsewhere, it will be dry and pleasant in New England.
