The Nation's Weather for Saturday, November 30, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A Great Lakes lake-effect snow event will continue tomorrow
with the heaviest snow falling downwind of the lakes. Travel
south of Buffalo on Interstate 90 and north of Syracuse on
I-81 can be difficult with snowfall rates over an inch per
hour; blizzard conditions are possible. Heavy snow can lead
to slippery roads and reduced visibility. Snow showers and
flurries can occur elsewhere throughout much of upstate and
western New York. Lake-effect snow showers on the south
shore of Lake Superior and eastern shore of Lake Michigan
can also lead to less than ideal traveling conditions. There
can be a quick burst of light snow in northern Missouri into
southern Illinois and across North Dakota as well.
Otherwise, the country as a whole will largely be dry.
Morning fog can occur in the interior Northwest.
