The Nation's Weather for Saturday, March 8, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and snow over New Mexico will advance into the Texas
and Oklahoma panhandles tomorrow, which can lead to slowed
travel across the region. Meanwhile, showers and
thunderstorms will spread across the South throughout the
day. Some storms can be severe and produce flooding
downpours, localized damaging wind gusts of 50-60 mph and
even hail, especially from southern Louisiana to the Florida
Panhandle. Gusty winds are expected across New England, and
flurries are possible as well. A bit of snow will speed
across the Great Lakes region from northeastern Minnesota to
northern Michigan. Elsewhere, it will be mild across the
Plains with a mix of sun and clouds. Most of the West will
be dry and calm; however, rain will drench the northwestern
coast of Washington.
