NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, thunderstorms from eastern Texas up into a portion
of the Midwest and lower Great Lakes region are capable of
bringing flooding downpours, widespread damaging winds,
large hail and tornadoes. This risk extends into the
Mississippi and Ohio River valleys into the nighttime. The
greatest risk for these hazards exists in the
mid-Mississippi River Valley and where the Ohio River Valley
meets it. Otherwise, general showers and thunderstorms can
dot the Southeast. Spotty showers can also accompany most
places in the Northeast. However, some freezing rain is
possible in portions of New Hampshire and southern Maine.
Freezing rain can also cause slippery and delayed travel in
portions of southern Minnesota into northern Wisconsin and
the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
