NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms will be possible in parts of the
Midwest tomorrow as the threat for downpours, hail and
damaging winds extends from northern Illinois south and west
through central Missouri. Farther east, widely separated
thunderstorms are expected across the Great Lakes region and
into the mid-Atlantic, where thunderstorms could become more
numerous near the coast. It will be warm but dry throughout
New England. The South will have less thunderstorm coverage,
but a surge of tropical moisture could lead to heavy
rainfall reaching far southern Texas. Much of the center of
the country should experience a pleasant day tomorrow.
Tropically enhanced monsoon storms will persist in the
Southwest with another hot day for the interior Northwest.
