NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms are expected over much of the Gulf Coast,
Southeast, Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic tomorrow. Some
storms can make their way into the Northeast as well.
Persistent downpours across the Gulf Coast and Southeast can
lead to flooding concerns. Storms in the Ohio Valley can
also cause flash flooding. Spotty showers are expected to
move into coastal Washington, as the heat moves out.
Elsewhere in the West, the extreme heat will continue. Areas
in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, South Dakota and
Wyoming, can all have temperatures surge into the triple
digits. Some spots in the Southwest can even have
temperatures rise above 110 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Daily and monthly records can be challenged across these
areas.
