The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, October 26, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a potent storm system slides eastward, a swath of rain
will move into the Midwest and Northeast tomorrow. While dry
periods may be possible during the day, rain that falls may
turn heavy at times. Farther south along the Atlantic coast,
stretching from the Outer Banks to central Florida, showers
and thunderstorms will be possible during the morning hours
as a broken line of storms moves offshore. Lower-than-normal
temperatures and dry, clear conditions will be present in
the Plains as high pressure builds in. In the Pacific
Northwest, a disturbance will allow rain and mountain snow
to continue across the region, stretching from Oregon and
Washington to the northern Rockies. Snow levels may drop low
enough to cause travel disruptions.
