The Nation's Weather for Friday, January 6, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Snow will blanket New York state and northern New England
tomorrow, with a mix of rain and snow in central and
southeastern New England. Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard,
Nantucket and coastal Connecticut may be just warm enough
for precipitation to fall as rain. Farther southwest, any
rain showers should mainly occur in the morning over
northern and central New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
Snow showers may occur much of the day in the mountains of
Pennsylvania, but temperatures above freezing will mean
little to no accumulation. The central Rockies can expect
snow, with several inches possible in the highest
elevations. Meanwhile, the West will catch a relative break
between storms with just a few rain showers and mountain
snow showers in Washington, Oregon and Northern California.
