The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, February 7, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Precipitation will stretch along a front from the Northeast
to the South Central tomorrow. There can be some snow in
northern New York and Vermont, but south of there into
Missouri will just be light rain or showers. Oklahoma and
northern Texas will receive heavy rain and possible
flooding. A potent storm will slam into the Northwest,
producing heavy rain along the coast and snow in the
mountains inland. That storm is expected to push snow
eastward into Idaho and northern Montana in the afternoon.
There will be a little bit of snow in the higher elevations
on New Mexico as well, likely mixed with rain in the lower
elevations. Moisture streaming up into Mississippi will lead
to a few showers, but a high over the Southeast will keep
the rest of the region rather dry and sunny.
