The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, March 1, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a weak disturbance moves through the Great Lakes region
tomorrow, light snow will overspread portions of the Upper
Midwest. Accumulations should generally average around a
couple of inches, though some slightly higher totals are
possible. Farther southeast, rain showers are expected from
southern Michigan into the Northeast. In the Southeast, a
surge of warm and moist air will allow for a few
thunderstorms during the afternoon, and heavy rain cannot be
ruled out. In the Southwest, a strong storm system will
bring more steady rain to Southern California, with heavy
snow in the mountains. Farther inland, snow will also spread
into the Great Basin and Colorado Rockies, with
accumulations varying substantially depending on elevation.
