The Nation's Weather for Friday, March 10, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Snow will produce slippery roads in much of the Great Lakes
and as far south as Central Pennsylvania tomorrow. A mix of
rain and snow is expected in central and eastern Ohio and
western, south-central and northeastern Pennsylvania. Plain
rain will fall in the warmer air from New Jersey to South
Carolina. Even farther south, a zone of thunderstorms will
rumble along a cold front from central Texas to Georgia.
Meanwhile, an atmospheric river will drench California.
Heavy rain combined with melting snow in the foothills of
Northern and Central California will present a major
flooding risk. Several feet of snow will continue to add to
the snowpack in the highest elevations. A dry day is likely
in much of the Plains.
