The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, April 11, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Calm and tranquil conditions are likely to remain in place
across much of the country tomorrow, with dry weather for
nearly all of the East Coast, Midwest, Plains and Southwest
states. A warming trend will be ongoing as well, especially
in central and eastern portions of the country. While this
will bring pleasant weather for many, it will also lead to
rapid snowmelt across the northern Plains and Upper Midwest,
and may lead to an increased risk for ice jams and river
flooding. Showers and a couple of thunderstorms will remain
a threat along the Gulf coast, especially in Texas,
Louisiana and South Florida, with locally heavy rain
possible. A few showers are possible in Maine, though the
rest of New England will stay dry. Unsettled weather will
remain in the Northwest, with rain in coastal Oregon and
Washington.
