The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, April 18, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a storm system lingers in the Northeast tomorrow, a few
rain and snow showers are possible for portions of New York,
Pennsylvania and northern New England. Should snow fall,
little or no accumulation is expected. In the Plains,
stretching from Kansas into Texas, a few thunderstorms are
likely to develop during the late afternoon or evening
hours. Any storms that develop could turn severe, with
strong wind gusts and hail possible. Later at night, the
intensity of any storms will quickly wane. A disturbance in
the Northwest will continue to spread rain and mountain snow
to the region, and will also extend into the northern
Rockies and perhaps the Montana Plains by evening.
Elsewhere, aside from a shower or thunderstorm in South
Florida, quiet conditions are expected.
