The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, May 3, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and snow showers will continue from the Ohio Valley
through New England tomorrow as a persistent system makes
only slow progress toward the coast during the day. Cool and
breezy conditions will accompany this system, even in places
such as the mid-Atlantic and the Southeast that will remain
largely dry. Much of the South will also stay quiet, but the
chance for spotty afternoon thunderstorms will exist in West
Texas, with thundershower activity also possible farther
north from Oklahoma into parts of Wyoming and Montana. West
of there, afternoon showers may also contain thunder in the
Pacific Northwest, with a better chance of rain and snow
showers into Northern California, and perhaps some steadier
rain along the Southern California coast, as a storm slowly
drops southward.
