NATIONAL SUMMARY
A major winter storm will bring snow from northern Texas to
northwestern Maine tomorrow. Snow accumulations anywhere
between several inches to over a foot in the heaviest
snowfall will cause extremely difficult and dangerous
travel. Just to the southeast of the snow, ice is expected
from northeastern Texas to interior New England. The ice is
expected to cause power outages and dangerous travel. Power
outages are most likely from northeastern Texas to southern
Ohio. Farther to the south and east, rain will soak
locations from southeastern Texas to Massachusetts.
Thunderstorms, some strong, are forecast to rumble in
central and eastern Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
Elsewhere, more spotty and lighter rain and mountain snow
are expected in portions of the Pacific Northwest.
