NATIONAL SUMMARY
Snow will lead to difficult and dangerous travel in New
York, western, central and northern Pennsylvania and much of
New England tomorrow. Precipitation in central and
northeastern Pennsylvania may begin as sleet and freezing
rain, turning roads and sidewalks into dangerous sheets of
ice. Primarily rain will fall along the coast, but streets
and sidewalks could turn icy as temperatures drop in the
afternoon. Very cold air will persist in the northern
Plains, with eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota
not expected to climb above zero. Rain showers are forecast
to dampen western Washington state and northwestern Oregon.
Snow will fall in the Cascades and in eastern Washington and
northern Idaho. A mostly sunny day is expected from
California to Nebraska.
