FHS falls to Sumner in overtime, 21-14

For the second straight year, the Franklinton-Jewel Sumner football game went into overtime. But unlike last year, when the Demons won, this year they lost. Jewel Sumner won with a 21-14 score in overtime to remain undefeated and at the top of the rankings among 3A teams in Louisiana.

Franklinton's water and sewage rate changes tabled for now

Fair flag ceremony held at courthouse
