The Garden of the Month award and the Business of the Month award are presented by the Home and Garden Club, the Franklinton Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Franklinton in an effort to boost pride and spark improvement in the town.

Playoff loss ends 2022 season for FHS Demons

The Franklinton Demons football team fell in the first round of the playoffs to the Cecilia Bulldogs 35-28 in a game that they didn't trail in until less than two minutes were left in the game. The Demons end the season with a 5-6 record in Coach Guy Lecompte's first season.

WPSO Thanksgiving luncheon was crowded

A crowd turned out last Thursday for the annual Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Thanksgiving luncheon for senior citizens. It was held this year at First Baptist Church of Franklinton. Another Sheriff’s Office Thanksgiving luncheon was held in Bogalusa.
