Pine Homecoming Queen is crowned

Senior Ja’Naiya Handy was revealed as the 2022 Pine High Homecoming Queen during Homecoming festivities last Friday. The school’s homecoming parade was held Thursday, led by 2022 Parade Marshal Rickie Branch. In photo above, the new Homecoming Queen poses with Pine Principal Ramona Thomas.

Museum yard sale is fundraiser for building repairs

On Saturday, October 1, there will be a yard sale at the Varnado Store Museum in Franklinton.
It will be in the Annex and patio, and it will feature a variety of items.
This is a fundraiser to help the Museum make needed repairs to the 120-year old building.
