There was no true Spring Break for the Franklinton Demon Baseball team.
Rain the week before Easter forced them to play four games in five days to get back on schedule. Unfortunately, three of the games featured two of the toughest teams in the district, Loranger and Lakeshore.
On Monday, April 6, the Demons traveled to Lakeshore and fell 6-1 to the Titans.
Eli Galiano earned the win for Lakeshore and Rick Songy took the loss for the Demons. JoJo Burkhalter and Bryce Barber each collected two hits with Barber batting in one run.
On Tuesday, April 7, the Demons lost to Loranger despite a comeback attempt late in the game to make the final score 7-6.
Hyatt Holden had a solo home run for the Wolves and Tanner Matheren earned the win. Dalton Freeman was charged with the loss for the FHS Demons.
Da'Ron Sinceno and Bryce Barber were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup as each drove in two runs for the Demons. Barber went 3-for-4 to lead the Demons in hits while the Demons accumulated 8 walks for the game.
On Wednesday April 8, Lakeshore and the Demons met at Demon Diamond.
The Demons collected 11 hits to Lakeshore's eight but still fell 6-3.
Bryce Barber again led the Demons with three hits. Cayman Pugh went 2-for-3 at the plate with a massive homerun in the bottom of the 6th inning and led the team with two runs batted in. Kaedyn Jenkins had two hits.
Bryce Barber took the loss for the Demons and Alex Duvieilh earned the win for Lakeshore.
This wrapped up the District 7AAAA competition which is one of the toughest districts in the state. Heading into the playoffs, Pearl River is ranked at #4 and Lakeshore #5 in Non-Select and Loranger #6 and Archbishop Hannan is #11 in Select. The Demons are #14 in Non-Select.
On Friday, April 10, the Demons returned to the friendly confines of Demon Diamond and defeated Patrick Taylor Science and Technology Academy 11-0. JoJo Burkhalter earned the win with a no-hitter, striking out 5 and walking one.
Kaedyn Jenkins and Ethan Buffinet threw shutout innings in relief to complete the no-hitter.
Dalton Freeman led the Demons with three runs batted in and one hit. Da'Ron Sinceno, Kaedyn Jenkens, Jordy Thomassen, Caymen Pugh, and Bryce Barber all collected hits for the Demons.

Game times will be announced on the school and team's social media accounts and on Era-Leader.com.
