Albert Ray Magee, 79 a longtime resident of Avondale, Louisiana passed away Saturday evening July 20, 2024. He was a native of Washington Parish, born on February 6, 1945. Ray was a veteran of the Vietnam War, honorably serving his country as a radio and electronics technician for the United States Air Force. He had a brilliant mechanical mind all his life able to build televisions and computers even as a young man. After his military service, Ray had a 30 year career as an electronics technician for Avondale Shipyards before retiring. Even after retiring, his passion and hobby remained building and restoring computers.

Brother in law: Eddie Handley of Avondale
Nephews and Nieces: Lynn Magee, Danny Cousins, Denise Laing, Edward Handley, Brandon and Melinda Handley
Also numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other extended family members
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Magee and Odessa Williams Magee, sister Ava Elaine Magee Handley, brother in law Donald Cousins, nephews Mike Magee, Leroy Magee, Donald Cousins, Jr. and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Jones Cemetery on Choctaw Road at 10:00 am Wednesday July 24th with Rev. Russell Adams officiating.
The family was served by Crain Funeral Home of Franklinton.
