Allen Wilbur Smithy, 81, a resident of Central. Louisiana passed away early Wednesday morning January 17, 2024 at Ochsner Hospital in Baton Rouge. He worked for Associated Grocers and Wal-Mart for many years before retiring. Allen was the kindest person you could ever meet and he always enjoyed doing yard work with his wife. He will forever be missed by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death recently by his wife of 60 years Jeanette “Ella” Brumfield Smith, father Wilbur Smith, mother Vivian Burch and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday January 20th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Saturday with Rev. Frederick Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Hays Creek Southern Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jason Smith, Ryan Pouncey, Kash Tregre, Gary Brumfield, Johnny Langlois, Mike Longmire. Honorary Pallbearer is Glen Graves.
The family was served by Crain Funeral Home of Franklinton.
