Alma Bateman Magee, 78, a longtime resident of the Clifton Community passed away Friday June 23, 2023 after a lengthy illness.
She operated a flower and plant nursery at her home, supplying the Red Barn Mall in Clifton, where she worked alongside her sister for many years. More recently Alma operated 2nd Chance Nursery. She always loved making different crafts and crocheting. Alma also enjoyed target shooting and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years James E. “Jimmy” Magee, parents Winfred Bateman and Erlane Bankston Bateman, father in law and mother in law Ed Magee and Juanita Hart Magee, brother in law Frank Nelson.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday June 27th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Wednesday with Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown, MS.
