Arthur Wayne Martin, 67, a resident of Thomas died Monday night October 18, 2021 at Riverside Medical Center. He worked in construction and was a talented carpenter and “jack-of-all-trades”, as he built barns and remodeled houses for many people through the years. Wayne also worked for several years with the Bogalusa Housing Authority. He was a member of Crain’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church that enjoyed mowing his yard and working on his lawnmower. Wayne loved to fish and watch LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints football games. He always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.

2 Daughters and a Son in law: Sandra and Chad Jarrell of Pine, Santana Martin and fiancé Darren Allo of Franklinton
3 Grandchildren: Kaden Jarrell, Madelyn Jarrell, Haisley Allo
2 Brothers and a Sister in law: Jimmy and Joy Martin, Richard Martin
3 Sisters and Brothers in law: Pauline Lofton, Aline and Harlan Amacker, Geneen and Raymond Phelps
Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Sherry and Gary Warren, Lucius and Dolly Crain, Dee Dee Dowdy
Special Friend: Donald Ray and Sue Crain
Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur “Pet” Martin and Elsie Schilling Martin, sister Linda Diane Crain, sister and brother in law Brenda and Bob Finley, brother in law Carlos Dowdy.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday October 21st from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Eld. Duane Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks/Martin Cemetery.
