Beau Hunter Bowman, 29, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Tuesday August 8, 2023 at Our Lady of The Angels Hospital following an automobile accident.
He was a Class of 2011 graduate of Franklinton High School, where he proudly served in the Junior ROTC program. Beau later attended Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a Lieutenant at Rayburn Correctional Center, and had been with RCC for the last 10 years. Beau was a certified CPR instructor and often led the training sessions for other officers and staff. He was an avid video game player and always enjoyed weekly “Nerd Night” get-togethers with his friends. Beau liked to customize the different trucks he had over the years, collect all types of guns and ride his new motorcycle. He loved his wife above all else and he had a special place in his heart for his pet dog “Remi”.

He was preceded in death by his daddy Tony “Coondog” Bowman, great-grandparents Herman and Betty Ingram, “Nan” Patrice Dykes, grandparents Vernon and Pearl Bowman, uncles Stephen Ingram, Bo Gatlin, cousin/brother Clint Bickham, cousin Stephen Brumfield.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday August 10th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 11:00 am on Friday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm Friday with Eld. Duane Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
