Billie Faye Turnage Roberts, 84, a resident of the Mount Pisgah Community passed away early Tuesday morning June 4, 2024 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was retired after a career in bookkeeping. In her younger years, she worked in New Orleans for Orkin Pest Control and later Commander’s Place restaurant. Billie returned to Franklinton and served at Riverside Medical Center for several years. She was then a fulltime homemaker, taking care of her husband and son and “keeping them straight”. Billie enjoyed cooking for her family and canning the vegetables she grew in her garden. She loved the Lord and was a believer in Jesus Christ. Billie was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
She was preceded in death by her parents James Turnage and Hester Payne Turnage, sister and brother in law Nell and Molloy Jones, father in law and mother in law Boss and Doris Roberts and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday June 8th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Frank Palmazano and Rev. Leonard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
