Clinton Edward Spears, Sr., 49, a resident of Kentwood died early Monday morning February 6, 2023 at North Oaks Medical Center. He was a 1991 graduate of Mount Hermon High School that had a long career as an iron worker, employed with South Steel for many years and most recently with T & N Steel. Clinton enjoyed woodworking and working on cars and trucks, as he was a “Jack of all Trades” and very talented working with his hands. He was a big John Wayne fan and liked watching “Gunsmoke” and other old western movies and TV shows and also liked watching Dragon Ball Z and anime shows. Clinton loved to make people laugh and he was a kind-hearted person always willing to help people in need.

Step-grandchildren: Jireh, Missi, Shalom, and Rapha Colnar, and Brailyinn Flamm
Mother and Step-father: Cathy Goings Spears and Kent Buffinet of Osyka, MS
Brother and Sister in law: Adam and Ana Spears of Mt. Hermon
Sisters and Brothers in law: Sherry and Edward Smith of Bogalusa, Teresa and Lee Polkey of Franklinton, Tracy Spears of Kentwood
Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kandace Michelle Spears, father Edward Allen Spears, grandfather Edward Spears, grandparents AT and Christine Goings, also several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday February 9th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Jay Avance officiating. Burial will follow in the East Fork Baptist Church Cemetery near Kentwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to help with final expenses.
