David Dwight Creel Sr., 54, a resident of Franklinton passed away Wednesday September 4, 2024 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital after a brief illness. He worked as a mechanic for many years at Mack Grubbs Motors, Bill Hood Motors in Covington and also for Textron. More recently, David worked alongside his family driving a wrecker truck for Ray’s Towing, serving all of Washington Parish and nearby areas. He loved racing, even driving his own dirt track racecar for several years and was always a huge NASCAR fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors, most especially taking his grandchildren along with him to the woods and fishing spots. David had a special place in his heart for his pet Boston Terrier “Bear” and loved spending quality with all his family.

Visitation will be held at Jesus Name Holiness Church Saturday September 7th beginning at 5:00 pm and continuing until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm Sunday with Rev. David Avalos and Rev. Charles Rester officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery.
