Eva Martin McCain, 62, a resident of the Haye’s Creek Community passed away early Sunday morning September 25, 2022 at her home. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse that worked in the home health field and also at nursing homes in the area. Eva dedicated her career to helping heal the sick and caring for those in need. She enjoyed sewing quilts and giving them to friends and family. During the early parts of the pandemic, she sewed thousands of masks for people and distributed them all over the state. Eva liked to watch her favorite afternoon TV shows and spend quality time with her family.

Son and Daughter in law: Rodney and Megan Jerrell of Haye’s Creek
5 Granddaughters: Serena Jerrell, Christan Williams, Katelyn McCain, Rainey Jerrell, Kinslee Alleman
Siblings and Spouses: Ernest Leon Martin, Sarah Jo Martin Thomas and Michael “Mickey” Thomas, Kenneth Lavon Martin, Virgil Claude Martin and Jill Martin
God Child: Randee Jerrell
Special Friends: Lorie Martin, Sheila Martin
Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sarah Lorell Martin, father Ernest Evon Martin, brother Burton Dewayne Martin and fiancé Travis Stanga.
A private family memorial service will be held in the near future.
The family was served by Crain Funeral Home of Franklinton.
