Herbert Ray Brooks, Sr., 75, a resident of Mount Hermon died Saturday December 3, 2022 at North Oaks Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He worked as a dairyman nearly all his life and he loved farming. Ray enjoyed planting a big garden every year. He loved all types of hunting and running his hunting dogs while spending time in the great outdoors.

4 Daughters and Sons in law: Lisa and Barry Bracy, Theresa Brooks, Mary Irene and Calvin Thibodaux, Lucretia Brooks and Wilson Duncan, Jr.
24 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren
4 Brothers and Sisters in law: James and Jodi Brooks, David and Annette Brooks, Wayne and Lorie Brooks, Jimmy and Adrine Brooks
3 Sisters and Brothers in law: Minnie and Tom Lilly, Shirley and Kevin Talley, Nell and Keith Talley

He was preceded in death by his parents Hulon Brooks, Sr. and Christine Tarver Brooks, 10 siblings and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday December 6th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Bubba Disotel officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
