James Paul “Jmmy” Knight Sr., 76, a resident of Kenner, LA passed away early Sunday morning May 15, 2022. He was a native of the Pine Community in Washington Parish but had been a longtime resident of Kenner. Jimmy was a truck driver for many refineries and also hauled cargo before retiring. He enjoyed different types of hunting and the outdoors. Jimmy always loved to take his boat out fishing, shrimping and crawfishing. He liked to watch football games and was a New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers fan. Jimmy also enjoyed watching his favorite old Western movies and TV shows.

Grandchildren: Ashley and Jason Lowry, Hydie and Natalie DeHart, James “Trey” Knight, III, Brittany and Olivia Perilloux, Taylor Perilloux, Riley Perilloux, Ryne Smith, Austin Smith, Easton Smith, Brooke Beall Nunley, Lanie Warner
Great-grandchildren: Addison Lowry, Knox Perilloux. Branson Nunley, McKenzie Nunley
He was preceded in death by a young son Christopher Scott Knight, mother Ontee Knight and first wife Judy Knight Ballew and second wife Lea Muhleisen Knight.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Thursday May 19th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. David Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery.
