Joyce Thomas Bienvenu, 74, a resident of Franklinton passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at her home Monday night December 2, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Joyce owned and operated J.B. Enterprises, alongside her husband, for over 30 years. Her joy was crafting and camping with her grandchildren.
She is survived by:

Daughter: Casey Cothern
Grandchildren and Spouses: Mary Kate and Ben Dykes, Nicholas Moak, Abigail Cothern and Jony Magee, Annabella Cothern
Great-grandchildren: Geneveive Dykes, Stella Magee, Luca Magee
Sister: Lois Faye Simmons
Also numerous nieces, nephews and their families
She was preceded in death by her son Wayne Shoemaker, II, granddaughter Callie Noel Shoemaker, parents Fernia Thomas and Dorothy Martin Thomas, sister Betty Jo Thomas, sister and brother in law Eula Lee and Zander Sumrall, Jr., brother in law Jimmy Simmons and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held in Ellis Cemetery at 11:00 am Wednesday December 4th with Rev. Jerry Cox officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the Franklinton Association for Challenged Citizens (P.O. Box 622, Franklinton, LA 70438)
