Lea Kim Hartzog, 64, a longtime resident of Franklinton passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday April 8, 2024 at her home with her beloved family and friends by her side.
Kim worked at the Franklinton Association for Challenged Citizens for many years and had a special relationship with her many clients, whom she loved and cared for. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains in Tennessee and she was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Kim had a special place in her heart for her pet cat Bella and dog Bo. She will be forever missed by her family and all those that knew her.

Grandchildren: Tyler Vince, Brock Faust, Allie Jenkins, Trevor Penton, Logan Jenkins, Christopher Vince, Tristan Vince, Christine Hampton

She was preceded in death by her father Billy Varnado, sister and brother in law Sandra and David Stevens, father in law and mother in law David Hartzog and Melvin Sumrall Hartzog.
Visitation will be at Trinity Baptist Church Saturday April 13th from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Eric Williams officiating.
